Sarah and Karl tie the knot

Canterbury show weekend 2015 saw us with the honour of photographing a very special wedding

Sarah and her family are very good family friends of ours and we were so excited when Sarah and Karl asked us to be a part of their day.

Our day started at Rosebank Estate with a quick stop with the girls to say hi to everyone and to check out nerves before being given instructions as to where the boys were getting ready at the same hotel complex… the first room number we were given was actually the wrong room and we were greeted by a wedding guest in his towel (little did we know, this guest would make an appearance at our next wedding as a groomsman).

We found the boys and a very  quiet and nervous Karl. We chatted with them as they got ready but decided to do our best to make it short & sweet for Karl so that he could have some time to himself before he was to take centre stage with Sarah at the top of the isle.

We headed back to the girls and enjoyed spending some time with Sarah’s family and her bridesmaids as they got ready… there is just something that little bit more special about being able to capture a friends big day.

The time flew by and soon it was time for action… we headed across the carpark to Rosebank Estates grounds and excitedly got ourselves ready for the ceremony.

After a short and sweet ceremony Mr & Mrs Fisher made their way down the isle…

After they greeted their guests and had some photos with them we whisked the bridal party over to The Groynes for a few laughs and discovered a magical little patch – perfect for photos buried within the bush and gardens. The bridal party were more than happy to follow us and we were so glad they did… check out the results below…

We couldn’t leave The Groynes without some shots of the bride and groom with the people closest to them… the awesome bridesmaids and groomsmen

And we just love it when the boys have an idea of their own for a photo…

Finally, with the bridal party having exhausted their smiles and poses, we headed back to Rosebank Estate to join the rest of the guests at Sarah & Karls wedding reception.

Hilarious speeches and laughter took over the evening as we heard Sarah & Karls loved ones speak about them.

A huge thanks to Sarah & Karl along with Sarah’s family Darrel, Katrina, Kathryn & Richard for having us be a part of this special day. We were truly honoured to photograph it and we hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do.
